Here at Kalma Baby and Kalma Mamas we want our mamas to know just how breast feeding friendly our yoga classes for you and your little ones are! In a safe environment you can go about your usual routine in our baby and toddler yoga classes and you will always be encouraged to do this. Many of our venues have comfortable seating inside the rooms where we hold sessions or have another private room which you can use to feel comfortable when feeding. One thing is for sure you will never have be asked to leave our yoga circle!
England’s National Breastfeeding Celebration Week, run by Public Health England (PHE), will take place 25 – 29 June. The week will focus on celebrating the benefits of breastfeeding and promoting the role that all healthcare professionals, commissioners and managers have in advising and supporting mothers to take up and continue breastfeeding for at least the first 6 months of their baby’s life.
More mothers are breastfeeding, but continuation rates in the UK remain among the lowest worldwide. Breast feeding has many benefits for children and mothers. Nutrients are passed from Mum to baby and it’s great bonding experience.
Although breastfeeding is a natural process, a little practice is often needed in order to master it successfully as it can also have its rocky patches. As a mother who breast fed I feel it’s also important that mothers have the correct support or at lest know who they can turn too should it get a little tricky! There are many support avenues one that we feel is invaluable is our very own support network of mums that come to classes! It’s great to hear and see mums sharing stories hints and tips as well as knowledge between mamas.
