This privacy policy sets out how Kalma Life and any of our franchises branches use and protects any information that you give Kalma Life when you use this website. Kalma Life is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement which follows the General Data Protection Regulation.
Kalma Life may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 1st February 2018
This privacy policy applies to Kalma Life’s, website at www.kalmalifeuk.co.uk (the “website”) and our booking platform – whatadoddle.co.uk (“booking platform”) alongside our normal operations. This policy covers the collection, processing and other use of personal data under the Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”) and the General Data Protection Regulations (“GDPR”) 2018.
For the purpose of the DPA and GDPR, Kalma Life the franchisor is the overall data controller with all kalma life franchisees being data controllers and processors on its behalf and any inquiry regarding the collection or processing of your data should be addressed to our Data Protection officer – Victoria Thompson – at our address:

By using the Website and/or Booking platform, you consent to this policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for this purpose – Kalma Life – ZA315399.
Information we collect
We will collect personal data on our website only if it is directly provided to us by you, the user – e.g. your e-mail address, name, home or work address, and telephone number – and, therefore, has been provided by you with your consent. Normally you will only provide such details if you wish to sign up for our free newsletter or other resources, or if you are making a purchase from us.

You may also provide us with information via phone, email or face-to-face communication including directly to a member of our team at one of our venues.
Included in the booking platform is the option for you to amend, update and delete any information that you do not wish for us to use. Please bear in mind that in some cases – such as any known medical conditions connected to you or your child – it is imperative that our teachers are made aware of any medical information that could affect your child’s learning and safety at the class or yours.
With regard to each of your visits to our website, we may automatically collect the following information:
Technical information (including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet), your login information, browser type and version, time-zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;
Information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time), products you viewed or searched for, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number.
We also use analytical and statistical tools that monitor details of your visits to our website and the resources that you access. These include, but are not limited to, traffic data, location data, web blogs, and other communication data (but this data will not identify you personally).
We encourage you to update your payment information in your online Doddle account, which can be changed by you at any time by logging in to your secure area.
Your payment information (e.g. credit card details) provided when you make a purchase from our website is not received or stored by us. That information is processed securely and privately by the third party payment processors that we use. This information is stored, using encryption, by Stripe Inc.
Kalma Life will not have access to that information at any time. We may share your personal data with our payment processors, but only for the purpose of completing the relevant payment transaction. Such payment processors are banned from using your personal data, except to provide these necessary payment services to us, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your personal data and payment information.
Use of your information
We may hold and process personal data that you provide to us in accordance with the DPA and GDPR.
The information that we collect and store relating to you is primarily used to enable us to provide our services to you, and to meet our contractual commitments to you – primarily the delivery of safe yoga, mindfulness and pre and post natal sessions to yourself or child. In addition, we may use the information for the following purposes:
To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us including your yoga, mindfulness and pre and post natal lessons

To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.

If you are an existing customer, we may contact you with information about goods and services similar to those that were the subject of a previous sale to you such as availability of holiday time lessons or notifications of any cancelled or available lessons

From time to time we may use your information to pass from one franchise branch to another for example If a new franchisee takes over the franchise, if classes are covered by another franchisee or employee in times of sickness and maternity cover

Where you have consented to receive our newsletters, which we send out from time to time to provide information that is relevant to you and your children. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Disclosure of your information
We may share your personal information with any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries (includes franchisees), our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.
We may share your information with selected third parties including:
Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with you. This includes our third party payment processors, Doddle (Bin Room Media) for our Booking platform, Stripe Inc for the processing of payment details and our hosting company, Bluehost – www.bluehost.com. We also use the Mailchimp platform for email services. Schools, Children centres, Nurseries, when this is requested as customer information this would be for Monitoring purposes, fire regulations, health and safety in the buildings.
We may disclose your information to regulatory bodies to enable us to comply with the law and to assist fraud protection and minimise credit risk.
Please be advised that we do not reveal information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers but we may, on occasion, provide them with aggregate statistical information about our visitors.
Controlling the use of your data
If you have given us consent to use your data for a particular purpose you can revoke or vary that consent at any time. If you do not want us to use your data or want to vary the consent that you have provided, you can write to us at the address detailed in clause 2.

Where we store and transfer your data
As part of the services offered to you – for example through our website and booking platform – the information you provide to us may be transferred to and stored in countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). We use remote website server hosts to provide the website and some aspects of our service (which may be based outside of the EEA) or use servers based outside of the EEA. This is generally the nature of data stored in “the Cloud”. It may also be processed by staff, operating outside the EEA, who work for one of our suppliers, e.g. our website server host, or work for us when temporarily outside of the EEA.

(b) If Kalma Life business is bought by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the assets to transfer to the buyer. Multi Site Operation
We operate a multi-site structure, please note Kalma Life the Franchisor is the main Data Controller and that any information collected by Kalma Life Franchisee sites which are managed by Kalma Life act as Data Controllers on the Franchisors behalf. Your information is still collected, stored and processed in the same way as above. From time to time your information will be used by Kalma Life in the ways stated above to ensure we are delivering the best possible service and keeping our customers informed.
